Some interest has been expressed in possibly doing this, so here's the deal:
1. Entries for the current series closed a couple of weeks or so ago. They will still take applications and hold them on file for the next series, but it isn't yet clear when auditions for that will take place or when the series itself will be shot.
2. We'd need a group of six (team of five plus one reserve), each of whom would have to fill out an application form obtainable on-line from bbc beonsahow/eggheads and send the form in with a photo to the show's producers, either on-line or through the post.
3. Their address is in Glasgow and I'm pretty sure that's where the show is shot, so it might mean an overnight, poss.even two.
4. Auditions are held beforehand - you can indicate a preference for a couple of locations for that on the form (NB there isn't a guarantee that it would take place where you wanted it to).
5. We'd need to agree a variety of things before filling out our respective application forms, namely: team name, team captain, strengths and weaknesses of the team as a whole, and where we'd like auditions to take place.
