Kasper Dolberg, 20, are on Bayern Munich's radar according to Bild.
A reason for their interest should be because of striker Robert Lewandowski's recommendations. Not only would he appreciate if they could buy a young striker who could get time on the pitch in the later stages of matches, he also believes Dolberg would be the one to fit the bill.
As they faced each other in the same qualification group for the World Cup there's reason to believe the Munich-based Poland international got a bit more info on the youngster than usual, hence his interest, perhaps.
Struggling with form
Let's be honest, Dolberg has not had a great second season so far, where a lack of goals, a new manager, Huntelaar coming in and being played out of position haven't helped him.
He has however recently begun to show once again why he almost reached 25 total goals in his first season as a senior player, especially with his two well-taken goals in the Eredivisie derby no. 1, Feyenoord v Ajax, securing the win for the visitors.
The future
Having just recently turned 20 there's still a lot of things that could go wrong, and no-one can say for certain whether he'll actually be that +20 goals a season player early signs suggested. Even so this is an absolute no-brainer for us to get involved with.
When a very talented young player emerges he's either a) out of reach (because he's already with Barcelona, Madrid, Chelsea or City) or b) he's reachable because he's playing for a club beneath us in the big leagues or in a lesser league all together. The ones that are in the latter category are the ones we should chase no end.
Value
He won't be cheap either, but even at £30M-£40M he could potentially be a real bargain for us. Also, all it takes is one good season for him, at a better club than Ajax in one of the five big leagues and he'd probably be forever out of reach for us. FOREVER. Like Eriksen after he moved to Spurs.
Solanke
He'd perhaps steal some thunder from a player like Solanke, whom I find an interesting prospect as well, and that could potentially harm the young Englishman's progress but Dolberg is, without being disrespectful, a different gravy all together. Solanke scored 7 in 25 for Vitesse in the same season where Dolberg bagged 24 in 41 with Ajax. It's not completely comparable but it'll give you an indication.
Potential
I may be slightly biased here for several reasons, but from what I've seen, and I have seen a lot of him this past year, I think it's safe to say he's a rarity.
Not only does he score the easy goals, but he's more often than not also scoring the difficult ones, all without making a fuss. He seems somewhat comparable to Eriksen when it comes to mentality, the anti-Bendtner attitude if you like, letting the feet talk more than anything else.
In Klopp's hands this lad could become a world class striker really and he wouldn't have to wait one or two seasons to make an impact either.. he is ready.
