Can someone please explain to me what Hiddink has done to earn universal praise as being a superstar manager. He won the Euro cup once in the 80's. And a FA cup the only national leauge he has won is the dutch leauge. I really just don't get the hiddink love in.

I think the fact is that regardless of whether Rafa's tenure at Liverpool as stagnated or not, there are shockingly few managers around (let alone available) who are in approximately the same class as him. Hiddink, despite a paucity of recent club achievements, is one of them.

He won the FA cup, Harry Redknapp won the FA CUP. Look at the part i have put in bold and take hiddinks name out of your mind. Liverpool are linked with a replacement for benitez and that is his record. Would you want that manager with that record.?
