Should Carra just walk right in to the starting line up or should we wait for a fuck up?

Seriously though, who should he replace Agger or Skrtel?

Or should he stay on the bench?

Remember, we haven't conceded a goal in three games.

If he does walk in, it should be for Skrtel surely. He's more prone to make silly mistakes due to a lapse in concentration than Agger in my opinion.

For me it's a no brainer, he'll replace Skrtel.

The normal partnership would be Carra and Agger, however Carra hasn't played a game in a month and i'd be worried about his match sharpness for Sunday. Chelsea's forward line is no joke (unfortunately) and he'd struggle against them even when fit. I'd probably bench him Sunday.

What's up with all the Skrtel hate?

He's the only player that has come out and said that Ladyboy can go fuck him self.

Seriously though, Carra should replace Skrtel but I'm worried because he's been out for so long and we're playing Chelsea next. No exactly the best game to use a player lacking match fitness...
...and we haven't conceded for like 270+ minutes.

Ha... I've just seen it, not the cleverest thing to say..

great job skrtel, wind up torres on his home debut...

"I expected it," Skrtel told isport.blesk.cz.

"There had been plenty of talk for a long time before and when he was not training with us in the last two days, nor was he in the training centre, the speculation just seemed to come true.

"We all feel sorry because he's a player of world-class ability but, to be honest, it was no surprise.

"I wish him all the best but do not wish any success to Chelsea. Maybe Fernando will regret making this step sometime in the future."

Since the appointment of Kenny Dalglish, Liverpool have started to put a good run of form together and after their defeat against Blackpool they have taken seven points from a possible nine.

But the defender revealed that earlier on in the season, where an air of uncertainty surrounded the club, Torres had made the decision to go then.

"There were some hints of him leaving already in the summer when Chelsea claimed interest in him but he agreed with Liverpool on staying," he said.

"However, this season has not been going according to our wishes and expectations and that convinced him that it is the right time to move elsewhere. This is how he explained it to us."

Torres will face his former employers on Sunday at Stamford Bridge and Skrtel is determined to prevent the Spaniard from marking his debut by getting on the score sheet.

"It will be different because so far I have been playing against him only in training," he added.

"I hope he appears on the pitch and, since Chelsea wanted him so much, it is very likely that he will.

"I'm looking forward and firmly believe I won't let him score."

Despite Torres' departure, Liverpool will not be short of strikers as they spent nearly £60m on bringing in Carroll and Suarez, and Skrtel believes the pair will fill the gap left behind by the World Cup winner.

"Such a player would be missed at every club, that's for sure," he said. "On the other hand, we have captured Suarez and Carroll.

"I believe these two will replace him and we will be at least as strong as we were with Nando."

To be fair it was just an honest assessment of what the players saw, hence not a word from Gerrard. Torres may be made up but our whole team is pumped for this game. Bring it!

270 minutes is great... but it was against Stoke Fulham and Wolves. Come on, you know that's vastly different than 90 minutes against Chelsea. It's kind of a useless statistic to throw around if we are talking about the best possible back line to face Chelsea.

it may be 'only' stoke, fulham and wolves but it is what it is and before we could BUY a clean sheet regardless of opposition. anyway I'm pretty sure torres will score, its how we respond.

We lost against Blackpool, Wolves and Northampton at home. So I'm not underestimating any opposition.

Carra and Agger. Next.

Yeah. Not much of a conundrum, this one.

I would add that the Greek is very useful against teams like Stoke, though.

You don't mess with a defence while it's working, and for the time being ours is. Also you don't throw a 33 year old in against Chelsea when they aren't even approaching match fit :🙂

Good points.

3 clean sheets yes but let's not get carried away. They missed a couple of sitters last night and we have been lucky.

Carra should come back if fit, if not then play all three again.

How will chelsea line up will be more interesting

Our defence are pros la. They'll know everything Torres like to do. They've trained against him for years. They'll know how to wind the cunt up. Rough him up. Wait for him to moan at a ref and then thats it. Juts keep chipping away at him till he's subbed. Cunt.
