Time for a cheeky bid.

Harry doesn't seem to be a fan anyway.

I know he's an arse but he's very talented.

Staggeringly chavtastic though

When he left Blackburn I'd have supported going for him if the price was right, but he's achieved the grand total of bugger all at Tottenham and I'd take a heck of a lot of convincing that he still cares enough to try and fulfil his potential.  I might take a look at him if he were on a Bosman but I wouldn't part with a fee for him now.

I remember when I was lurking, someone here compared him to Gerrard..

That nearly made me sign up..

I'm sure that was Oncey, correct me if I'm wrong Oncey.

Wizardy seemed to like him a lot (comparisons with Gerrard).

I never quite saw it to be honest and felt he waaay way overrated. His time at Spurs have only strengthened this belief. For me he's like a slight worst version of David Beckham.

He's the best taker of set-pieces out there (his corners are absolutely frightening, every time) but I don't think he's a proper winger, or could play in one of the front 4 positions in our 4-2-3-1.

I have said before that I think he could become a very good central midfield player- he has an excellent range of passing and could perhaps learn to play a Xabi style role. I know Hughes said that he saw him becoming a midfield linchpin, rather than a wide player. Whether someone is prepared to put the work in with him is another matter.

He's way better than Pennant.

He's lost his way, that's for sure - and right now he's not worth the 15m that Spurs paid for him but if we could get him cheap he might be worth the chance that's all.

I'd see him as a potentially superior deputy for the positions normally occupied by Kuyt and Gerrard.

I was in the minority who didn't want to sign him. I'll stick to my shit version of David Beckham comparison thank you.

PMSL. A thread on this knobhead getting clocked drink driving and one of the first comments is "let's place a cheeky bid"??? Jesus fucking wept. :🙂
One more time for the cheap seats; He's shit, he's overrated shit at that, he's a knob, he's now a drunk and he is in no way near fit to even get a llok at a Liverpool shirt let alone play in one. Get it together people.

I'm with Gene, I'd also take Bentley if he was going cheap.

His value will never be lower, and could quite easily leap back to the £15-18M Spurs paid for him. He's certainly not essential, but he's a good player, a good investment, and I wouldn't be sorry if we lodged a bid.

The only way that'll happen is if he goes to a smaller club who will be able to get him for a relatively low fee and he starts playing week in, week out under a manager who views him as central to his plans.

That is clearly not going to be the case at Liverpool. He's going to struggle to get games here and he seems one of those that needs to be a consistent starter to get it together.

He's a prick who thinks he's greater than he's shown any sign of being.

I don't want him and and his big mouth any where near this club.

Look at our recent history of signing "controversial characters":

The Hunchback of Bellamydam - Twat who attacks another player in the squad

Terence Trent Pennant - Oh dear !

NoNoNoNoNo !
