For three seasons with Chelsea he was the bee's bollocks but since 2004 he has done fuck all for millions and millions of pounds. He's now heading off to LA Galaxy for a further pay day or two.

Seriously, I'd like to make money this way too. He's averaged 10 games a season in all competions for EIGHT years! His last start in the EPL was two years ago.

Do people think he's jammy?

I thought he was superb.

He was the second best keeper in the league for about 2 years without getting a game cause the best keeper was in the same team.

I remember us clamouring for him to sign at that stage before we got Reina.

That said, he showed absolutely no intention to prove himself. I'm sure he could have left several times but chose to stay and pick up the pay packet every week.

Waste of talent IMO but I'm sure his bank manager doesn't feel the same way.

He is the perfect back up keeper. It seems he is entirely happy with that situation and he is reliable when called upon, so I imagine he gets paid a fair bit for that!

It seems a little strange that someone with that good a reputation has seemed happy to take a back seat for so long, but good luck to him.

It's just typical of the game and how it's gone, that players who aren't anything special are earning ridiculous amounts of money, while many talented individuals are happy to sacrifice their career for a buck. Good look to them and all that, but where's the self satisfaction? Behind a till at Harrods?
