Crystal Palace Football Club are pleased to announce the loan signing of Mamadou Sakho from Liverpool until the end of the season.

Sakho, 26, has made 80 appearances for the Reds since signing from French giants Paris Saint-Germain back in September 2013. He had made over 200 appearances for his home town club before making the move to the Premier League, having won the Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de la Ligue, Coupe de France and the Trophee des Champions.

The 28-capped France international has also featured in the UNFP Ligue 1 Team of the Year (2010-11) and was named the division’s Young Player of the Year for the same season.

Loan makes sense. Klopp has decided he's going to sell him not play him so putting him in the shop window, when he's been off most clubs' radar due to his exile.

He should have been given game time ahead of Klaven / lucas in the cups, to keep him in the shop window.

All well and good saying hes better than so and so, fact is he's played many times already and has proven to be disastrous on many occasions.

He then decided to go against club regulations, leaving no choice but to banish him.

2m loan and Palace paying all wages is good deal.

End of season we could be selling for 20m still.

He's another who has improved by not playing

He might or might not be better at playing high up the pitch and coping with the opposition breaking, it's speculation until you see him do it. But that doesnt change the fact he has been all over the place with form and injuries.

Guardian reporting that we rejected a 12 mill £ bid from Palace.
2 mill £ loan fee and they pay all his wages is a good deal.
Puts him in the shop window for 15 games and we'll get more than 12 mill this summer.

I don't understand loaning him out

It's a fucking joke init. He is twice the player Lovren is and I won't even compare him to Klavan. As far I see it's Klopp who has thrown his dummy here. He made a few mistakes etc big fucking deal. I bet we would still be in 1 of those cup comps if he had been playing.

He's not twice the player Lovren is, and he's probably on par with Klavan atm. Sakho showed a lot of promise in some games but always seemed to get injured when he found some form. That stop start lead to some very good performances but also some horrendous ones were it looks like he has never played football.

My concern with Sakho is; defensive fuck ups, gets caught out of position, has trouble staying fit and has had a negative influence on the squad.

We'll get a good fee for him this summer and will buy a new CB. Better to just move on.
Its not a strange move loaning him out when the best bid was 12 mill. 2 mill loan fee and Palace pay his 100k a week wages until the summer is a good deal. He'll play some football and clubs will be ready to buy him this summer.

It's a good deal. Hopefully he plays well and we get some good offers in the summer.

Balotellis deal though.. rumours are that the chinese clubs are coming in for him in the summer, 12 mths too late for us.

Wasnt there talk of Chinese clubs last year aswell? He wasnt interested.

Do we know what he did to be ostracized other than be a bit shit?
It's almost as if he fucked someone's missus.

Klavan's made a couple of errors of late, but he's infinitely more accomplished on the ball and more in control. Every time Sakho had the ball, if he wasn't passing to the worst possibly positioned Liverpool player in the vicinity, then he was generally making everyone brick it just with his demeanour and awkwardness.

Nice guy and everything, but I'd have Klavan over him anyday, even if he is only a short term stop gap.
