The tall fella seems to be moving again for 12 mil. Given the inflated price of all footballers now, it lLooks like we got a good deal for 11 mil when we sold.

He must have been the most travelled striker this decade, not lasting more than 3 years at every club (how many?) he has been at.

Spurs
QPR
Portsmouth
Villa
Southampton
Liverpool
Portsmouth
?

Im probably missing one.

Norwich.

He also went on loan to that Swedish side in his younger days.

IFK Hässleholm (loan)

I think I remember reading somewhere that they were very impressed by his drinking...

It must be remembered that we sold him for 11mil but he only had a year left on his contract.
An amazing peice of business. Probably Rafa's best.

Of course he does.

Although maybe he feels more comfortable back at the level of club he's used to ?

Perhaps we should buy him then

I think it's extremely unlikely Rafa will want him back here.

For good reason, too.

Yeah, great considering his contract, but the question has to be asked, why is it that we seem to just allow some of our players to go into the last year of their contract then having them for reduced fees? We probably could have got 15m for Crouch.

He only took a golf club to that boring ginger for not joining in the team building karaoke, I would say that is justified.
Other than that he did nothing wrong.

i know a few people here dont like the way we play with crouchy but a back up in Crouchy would have been ideal last season! even now

Haha yes, I can confirm that his drinking was his only outstanding talent when he was here (played for Hässleholm until I was 21)

That's all we know.

But given what his West Ham team-mates said about him on his departure to City, I suspect more went down during his time here. He's a stupid, aggressive cunt, who doesn't perform to his ability enough.

He was an idiot over that incident, and I think he knew it was game over once it had happened, apparently he was warned by Rafa as soon as he joined.

I've got alot of respect for Bellamy though, he was incredibly courteous towards Rafa and the club when he left and he is a good player, if a bit of an unpredictable finisher.

I was quite excited when we bought Bellers. Despite his injury and conduct record he was a good player with a lot of pace.

He was awesome at the Nou Camp, they didn't know how to handle him.

West Ham United midfielder Radoslav Kovac has revealed teammates are delighted Craig Bellamy quit the club for Manchester City in January.

"They are glad he is not in the team. They say he is a maniac," he explained to deniksport.cz.

"He shouted at everyone who did not pass the ball to him in training, it was crazy. His departure has been a positive thing for the players."

I too was excited when we signed him because he was unplayable for Blackburn the season before and £6.5M was a bargain, but stuff like this wouldn't want Liverpool to bring him back. He just sounds completely mental.

He's had his chance here.

loads of talk about bellers in a crouch thread hmmm

Anyway I love Crouchie and wish him well, Pompey better get this takeover sorted and buy some players quick.

He will do a good job wherever he goes and deserves to be in a decent club and in the England Squad

I hear he proposed to the bird this week as well, bet they get married just before the world cup next year, lucky man
