Cricket in late September

I'm watching the one-day international between England and Windies being played at Bristol. It's 24th September which is late in the year to be playing cricket.

Windies put England in to bat and England are going well at 206-4 after 31.2 overs.

But there's a big problem here. We know from the weather forecast that it's going to pour down around 5.00 during the West Indies innings. We are then going to face some frustrating Duckworth-Lewis nonsense.

I suggest that in view of the accuracy of modern weather forecasting, it would be better to reduce the number of overs before the match even starts.
