Dirk Kuyt became the first Liverpool player to score on his first ten penalty kicks for the club since John Aldridge - and that was in 1987.
Maxi Rodríguez became the first foreign midfielder to score 10 league goals in his first full season at the club - Mølby did so in his second.
Maxi Rodríguez also became the first South American player to score more than once in a competitive match for Liverpool.
Maxi also became the first midfielder to score two hat tricks in a Premier League season for this club.
Furthermore, Maxi became the first non-European player to score a hat trick for the club (Gordon Hodgson played for England, and as for Benayoun, Israel are UEFA members).
Maxi became the first non-European player to reach 10 league goals in the same season, eclipsing Craig Johnston and Harry Kewell, who had scored 7 apiece at their best.
Luis Suárez scored his first league goal after just 16 minutes, tying Abel Xavier's club Premiership record.
