Tuned in about ten minutes before. Nice goal. Their forward line is fantastic.

yup.

Just seen that Lucas red card... he wasn't at fault at all, really unlucky to even be booked nevermind red.

was our lucas not on the pitch from the start and then sent off ? the other lucas came on later or ?

This... the other one came on as a sub.

Oh and Suarez got masher sent too last night too a they dumped out the argies. Thx Luis!

My brother called me yesterday after watching the Uruguay - Argentina game, just to say that we have a world class player in Suarez. Despite being one man down for most of the game he really made it difficult for the Argentine defence, constantly harassing them and getting decisions against them. Torres who?

That big bossomed Paraguayian model said before the Copa she'd run around Paraguay naked if they win the Copa ... Two more games to go.

Ha!

I've not had the chance to watch any of Copa America - which makes me sad - but I was reading that Argentina had a lot to prove in this tournament and it looks like they've failed yet again.

Good team Uruguay have at the moment.

Brazil missed 4 pens?? Jeezeess.
[/quote]

Have you seen the pens? I'd be investigating for match fixing.

what has happened to the mighty brazil that used to pass teams to death? they've become a kick and rush team.

Lucas happened.

Elano and Santos penalties were HORRIFIC - they made Baggio's pen against Brazil look 'on target.' You may be right though Tiago Silva's was well saved, and Fred didn't miss the post by that much.

Suarez is the sensation of the tournament. Just bagged a brace to put them 2-0 up vs Peru in semis

Yeah he played well and took his goals with style. If he brings that next season we're gonna have a lot of fun.

He will be voted best player in the tournament soon. Superb play. Causing havoc every time he gets the ball.

I am just worried he will miss the pre-season where tactics etc are implemeneted and may come back nackered or injured.
*prays

he hasn't really had a summer break for a while now , if i remember correctly last year he was back less than 3 weeks after finishing with the world cup . I guess he got a break of sorts with his suspension in Holland and by not playing so many games for us after he joined but still it's concerning he's playing so late into summer . might take him a while to get going this season , hope not though .

Winning the Copa America and scoring goals will only do him good. He has hardly played for the last year.

What a wonderful little player he is. Anyone still not sure about the wisdom of getting Forlan in on the cheap as another option up front alongside Suarez?

Luis 'Liverpool' Suarez! I love it.

I fully expect him to be pursued by Barcelona at the end of this season, having scored 34 in all competitions for us and been named Player of the Year.

Yes the past year has taught me we'll be lucky to get three years with top latino talent, well enjoy him while he's here.

...followed by some Argie arsehole at Barca whining about how we should let him go and not treat him like a slave or something.

I am, I watched the game last night and thought that Forlan was a peripheral figure for most of it. He's starting to look his age I think.
