Does anybody have it about anybody at the club right now?

Do you think the top brass are capable of making the right decisions
Do you think the manager has any idea what he's doing ?

Do you think the squad is any good?

I trust Rogers at the minute

Squad is overrated and owners need to prove themselves

I think the squad is reasonably good in terms of the young players but it obviously needs two or three more to give it some bite. I think Rodgers has done much more right than wrong and I'm hoping he continues to progress. I've got no confidence at all in how the club's run - it's a shambles..

I'm on the fence with Rodgers, he knows how he likes his football played but at the end of the day results matter too. My worry is how he comes across in that Being Liverpool thing, that sort of bullshit has a short shelf life.

FSG know how to increase revenues no doubt, but it's starting to look like they just got lucky with Epstein and Francona in Boston. Literally everything else has been a decision they've had to go back on within a year in both teams. I've gone from being positive about them initially to more than a little bit worried by them.

I'm no fan of the squad either an would happily see anyone over the age of 25 go. We consistently make excuses for them, but at some point you have to realise the results don't lie.

I think we have to stick with Rodgers at the moment and for the next couple of seasons. Chopping and changing managers is not going to help in the slightest. The players and this club and his old ones seem to like him and his methods regardless of what our perception from some reality program, that should never have taken place in the first place, is. I've not been convinced in FSG at all for a while now. Their appointments at the executive level seem flawed time after time and they don't have a clear strategy regardless of what they would lead us to believe. Nor do they appear to have the financial werewithall for us to compete and their reliance of FFP is hopeful. This model of recruiting young players is all well and good and something we should do but I think it's a massive gamble if thats the only type of player we're seeking to buy and/or can attract. We need top talent too. The squads is pretty poor as well, yes. Some promising purchases this year but there's a hell of a lot of deadwood still and a jury still out on some.

Full faith in Rodgers. It the results come players will believe in him. Doesn't matter if its fluffy bullshit or not.

Look at Rafa alot of the stuff he came out with nuts but nobody cared as we were winning trophies.

If the team is winning the players will have faith.

The owners. Meh I think they are fine. They aren't gonna to blow money but they won't fuck us over either.

The squad is average at best but with alot of young potential that could explode.

I'm quite content at the mo.

I'm not really arsed anymore.

As Elvis Costello once said, I used to be disgusted now I try to be amused.

{Deep Breath} Here we go......................................

We have one of the strongest squads in EUROPE and we are on the cusp of great things. No team in Europe has such a great pool of young talent (Suso, Shelvey, Sterling, McLaughlin, Wisdom, Coates, Yesil, Sinclair etc) and our pool of 20's-30 international class players such as Reina, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Allen, Suarez, Sahin etc are all excellent - added to the experience (and talent) of Gerrard & Carra.

This is the most exciting squad we've had in 20 years and all we need is a catalyst. I don't know what it will take to turn this incredible potential into a league/CL winning team but IMO the squad is almost good enough.

I think we need a talisman like Keegan or Cantona.......................

In the early 70's LFC had the best team (Hughes, Smith, Callaghan, Lawler, Clemence, Heighway, Lindsay etc) but we werem't winning too much. Kevin Keegan signed and was the missing link, almost overnight we became the dominant force in the league and all other players seemed to respond to Keegan's enthusiasm and dynamism amd we contiued to reign for 20 years.

In 1991 United had a similarly talented bunch of players as we did in the 70's (Hughes, Robson, Giggs, Scmeichel, Irwin, Ince etc) but weren't winning much, they "stole" Cantona from Leeds for £1m and unfortunately the rest is history.

These talismen are very hard to spot in advance and obviously in short supply, we might never find him BUT I honestly believe that we are potentially one great signing away from a return to our glory days.

No, I haven't been drinking.

But it's Shelvey.
I hope so because if our talisman turns out to be English it would improve our chances of him staying with us a while. I like Shelvey a lot and he could become a world class player but I'm not sure if he's the redeemer.

Yes

I think they're very hit and miss.

Yes, he seems to have something 'right' about him.

It's a decent to good squad. It's missing a goalscorer and another Suarez like creator.

We need to convert our chances. Suarez needs to convert his chances. Or we need to get someone in who can. Everything else will fall into place after!!

Oh......and we need to sell Stewart Downing!

I think we're moving in the right direction on the pitch. I like watching us play again, which hasn't been the case for a few years. Watching the younger players in the first team is exciting.

Ownership? Well, I'm happy Anfield's being expanded and I can understand the mistakes they've made in the past. Right now I just want them to shut up and sign some cheques.

I am quietly confident at the time but I believe the January window will be make or break in terms of how much faith I've got in the owners moving forward.

We are ever so slim upfront and we also could use a world class talent for the attacking midfield. Sahin has showed promise but even if he should continue to improve we don't whether he'll actually be ours come Season next.

I have got a lot of time for Rodgers he really seems a top bloke and a very shrewd manager with clear intentions and I believe we've rarely looked better in terms of talent of Youth. Shelvey, Suso, Raheem, Sterling, Yesil, Wisdom, Robinson et all have already showed their great potential on the pitch or have been getting some heavy praise.

Quietly optimistic.

Same here. It's been quite a long time since I was bothered when we lose a game. In fact, looking back on how it used to get me down feels quite bizarre.

If BR is backed like our previous managers, I would feel more confident.

It's well and good over hauling and squads and trusting youth but we still one or two players like luis to take us to that next level.

I love this post. Zlatan would have been the talisman. Cavani could still be.

Yes, yes, yes and yes.

I don't really know what to make of Pesam's post.

As a Liverpool fan I really do want to believe in that, fist pump and look to a glorious future... but statements like one of the strongest squads in Europe and best pool of talent and it's just too over the top.

I feel that with the young players people are really getting ahead of themselves. Let's wait and see what this group can do before proclaiming them to be our version of Utd's 93 intake or whatever year it was.

I agree. Long long way to go yet, as promising as the youngsters are.

It's just a period of consolidation, where the owners get to grips with what they want to do, and don't forget their plan only really started when they appointed Rodgers. They git their fingers burned ny Kenny and Commoli's spending.
They really need a CEO that commands respect with everyone and everything.
The squad is OK, it needs two strikers, but surely to God they know that.
Rodgers will be fine if he gets backed, by everyone and not just the owners.

regards

In my opinion Vlad they should have much of this in place by now. A good CEO is vital. We have a hopelessly -scandalously - under-qualified twit 'looking after' communications (for god's sake, someone like him wouldn't get a job at Colchester!) whilst persecuting fans, Ayre doing little but pose as manager whenever anyone signs a contract and a squad without a new striker. There's not even any of the old attempts at PR with the fans anymore - god knows where Henry is and what he's doing. It's depressing.

I would have answered yes to all three questions except that for three windows we've failed to bring a goal scorer in.

If we'd signed someone like an RVN, a Torres on form, Drogba etc then we wouldn't even see these questions asked.

Call him a talisman, a leader, the final piece or whatever but any one of those players would see us viewed as one of the form teams in European football. I don't think we've got the experience to keep it going yet but that will obviously come.

If we get "that" player in then the experience we develop will be winning. Without him then we could decimate this squad for years to come.
