It's normal that when a new head coach is appointed he will bring in his own people. However, I hope the ex-Barca coach stayed on as he identified flaws in our set up and has set about implementing changes.
Weve basically stolen the whole Australian medical team, and a medical expert from Spurs, and have singularly failed to contract with any coaches......

So we lost the lad who found Messi, Iniesta, Fabregas et all but some how we still have Eduardo Macia.

I doubt he found them - probably more brought them through the academy. However, he wasnt around when Carragher, Gerrard and Owen came through, and I doubt he's the miracle worker he was painted as.

I know he didn't pluck them from obscurity but he did train them and work with them everyday. His record of developing players at Barca is very impressive.

Rodolfo Borrell is still there, and won't move regardless of Rafa's departure.
I think Macia has gone aswell.

Borrell's the guy from the Barca Academy, isn't he? Valero's the fitness coach.
The only one that is potentially a shame is Valero who has been praised in the past by Torres and Reina has gone from strength to strength, so he must have been doing something right.
No, Valero was the goalkeeping coach and he's now been replaced by Mike Kelly from Fulham. So essentially we've retained Sammy Lee and Eduardo Macia while adding Mike Kelly.
Rodolfo Borrell is still here as I think he was an independent hire as the u-18's coach. He wasn't really part of Benitez's 'backroom'.

Rafa might take some of the crap if he doesn't accept that that's what they are. Witness his taking Pellegrino with him.

We should get Owen's people to make a dossier on some of our players and staff ;D
