We don't talk about him too much, but he has been very consistent last season. So what do you think are his strengths and what does he needs to work on?

I think the reason we don't talk about him is because he's Mr consistent. There's not much to address is there? If he was an attacker we can at least poke holes in his goals/assists tallys, or how lazy he might be, etc. But Clyne? He's great defensively, holds his position well, is a good outlet and supports the attack. He doesn't buckle under pressure or hide when things go shit.

I think the only thing he can work on is his end product offensively, but even that's not a massive issue.

Currently I'd say Clyne's strength is more on the defensive side (tho' that's no bad thing for a fullback IMO). His attacking play seemed to regress under Brendan Rodgers as we struggled to get our defence right and Clyne was pretty obviously under orders to play very conservatively. What I've seen of Clyne under Klopp has encouraged me though - I reckon Klopp can put the two sides of his game back together, in fact has already started to do so.

He's still the best RB in England IMO and proved it when he got a game in the Euros.

Thought this was going to be another injured player, thank fuck it's not, as Mark alludes to he's Mr Reliable, a fantastic full back both defensively and offensively whos only real weakness is in the air. Great signing.

Probably should have been player of the season. Been a fan since his CP days

That game encouraged me a lot, he was given a lot of license to attack and he looked very very good, I hope we see more of that this season.

Ever since he kept Suarez in his pocket when we played them?
Can't remember which game but that was when he first stood out for me

He's boss and one the first names on the team sheet - His little cameo for England in the Euro's highlighted his class for sure.

Don't we? He was one of our best players last season, and I was very happy with his signing. And he was predictably good. Because he is good.

There's no controversy or disagreement about Clyne is there? Like when we signed Finnan - very good player, no fuss, what's the debate?

I like Clyne, he's a fairly tenacious defender, and rarely gets beat.

But he could be a lot better going forward. His usage of the ball can be quite poor at times. Hopefully, we'll see some improvement at that end this season.
