Anyone seen the Sky story? Were he apperantly sent an e-mail to Nedum Onuohas cancer suffering mother and ridiculed her ilness.

He of course denies sending it, and it was supposed to go to Marwood. Claiming his email account has been hacked.

I know there's a public persona out there and shit like this doesn't help, but I've met the guy several times and he's been great company and a very decent person in my experience.

I've been told it's north of £3m his severance.

I can't believe in this day and age where you do something like that and get paid off! Bloody disgrace.
 
Doubt there's any severance package involved since he resigned. Guess he was hoping for one or trying to hang onto his job though, thus the delayed action/decision on his part.

DISGRACED Manchester City chief executive Garry Cook jumped before he was pushed last night and quit his £1.8m job at the Etihad Stadium.

Garry Cook was left with no choice but to resign over the scandal which saw him send a mocking and offensive email to the cancer- stricken mother of defender Nedum Onuo- ha, Dr Anthonia Onouha.

Cook made his situation worse by attempting to cover up his sickening blunder and claimed his email account had been hacked into while he was on holiday in South Africa.

But furious City chiefs launched an immediate investigation which included the masking IT experts to check Cook’s computer records.

Cook finally admitted to an ‘error of judgement’ before quitting whilst on holi- day in Portland, America with his wife and children.

City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak instructed Cook to do the honourable thing after the investigation found Cook to be guilty.
