Not gonna bother you with any in-depth explanation, but supporting the team nowadays is like continuing watching a TV series that started off great but is getting predictable and tedious. I think the ultimate low point for me was Hodgson. But yeah, Houllier was grim.

The style of play is great to watch when we're at our best, but it's like what Modo (of all people!) said elsewhere. It's like a show you've seen before that started well but has become predictable. I know this team probably won't win anything, I know that if a team sets up correctly against us then the game is just going to peter out. There's something seriously wrong with the mentality of this team. Plus, there's so few likeable characters within the squad, that I find it tough to really feel attached to any of them anymore.

And there's Lovren.

Progress and top 4 qualification is really the minimum requirement, but that only goes so far. The biggest issue and barrier to progress is investment into the team, which won’t ever be good enough under the current owners
