Looking forward to see how Trent gets on in midfield.
There's looks to be some confusion between him & Gini when they lost possession then, TAA running up the pitch at the same time as gini then gini dropping back.

I'd assume Gini is the number 6 role, so possibly not TAA at fault.

Mohamed Salah will make his 50th Liverpool appearance at his former side Chelsea on Sunday.
Having scored 43 times in all competitions, Salah will set a new record for goals in a single 38-game Premier League
if he scores one more in the top flight to reach 32.

Firmino with a great quick shot after TAA played a beautiful looped ball dropping into the area.

Saved well unfortunately.

If we do win this then I think personally we need to score a couple as early as possible, cos there's no way I don't see our midweek exploits leading to tired legs & mistakes later on in the games.

Yep. I expect us to drop off from about 70 mins on, so we'd better have a cushion well before then

Chelsea working very hard to restrict any passes into their half with some excellent shape & pressing of their own.

If this continues we may see a lot of sideways & backwards passing.

Conte playing this exactly as I'd expected him to.

Let us have the ball but restrict chances as much as possible.

Try to catch us on the break.

Bide time then come at us in waves, or possibly when we've tired, though I expect a couple of spells where they come at us in this half & test our legs out.

Unfortunately Firmino's passes are looking as poor as they were against Roma so far.

Really hope we can win this so he can be rested next weekend cos boy does he need a break.

Loving that tackle by Milner, that was definitely targeted to try stop Hazard settling.

Yep. I always like it when players make a mark on the opposition early when refs are less likely to card you for it. It's just common sense imo, can really give you an advantage in unsettling them.

No surprise our best attack so far comes after Chelsea commit in numbers to the attack.

If they keep up this compact defensive deep shape & we can't get through then we'll be in real trouble later in the game.

Gini always slows down our attacks, I don't want to be harsh on him, bit as soon as he gets the ball in those positions we start losing the moment.

TAA makes his first mistake in midfield there. Ironically as he dropped into full back to cover Clyne.

Alonso. Shoots but saved.

He definitely does a majority of the time

He hasn't got the quick first touch that enables the fast movement of the ball, sadly.

Chelsea definitely commiting more numbers.

Great Kanye tackle the only thing stopping Mane on the counter there.

Were in second gear and fucked

But Chelsea also seem to not want to attack

Got an exhibition feel this

Question unrelated to this match, but if we win the final, would Milner have won every single honour an English club can win?
