Anyone else watching the 'richest game in football'? Kicking off now

Crystal Palace v Watford line-ups ...
Crystal Palace: Speroni, Ward, Gabbidon, Delaney, Moxey, Zaha,
Jedinak, Garvan, Dikgacoi, Williams, Wilbraham.
Subs: Price, Richards, Bolasie, Phillips, O'Keefe, Ramage, Moritz.
Watford: Almunia, Doyley, Ekstrand, Cassetti, Anya, Chalobah,
Hogg, Pudil, Abdi, Deeney, Vydra.
Subs: Bond, Hall, Yeates, Briggs, Geijo, Battocchio, Forestieri.
Referee: Martin Atkinson (W Yorkshire)

Zola v Holloway, can't say I've a problem with either being in the premier league just hope this is a goal fest

I've got mixed feelings about Holloway TBH. He can be great entertainment but he can also be a bit of a pain in the @rse. There's also that FA Cup semi in 1990 when Pardew scored the winner for them. 😡 Come on Watford.

Palace used to be quite good at giving us points whilst taking them off our rivals. As much as it pains me to say it, Zola can get fucked.

Watford are trying to win promotion with hired help. They'll have to rebuild half the team if they go up.So for that reason, I hope Holloway wins.

it does seem a little cheaty, turning into a good match now

Glad to see Watford not go up after their abuse of the loan system.

Wonder if Zola sticks around.

I bet Elton John can't believe it, he can buy kids but not even he can buy promotion to the premiership. Palace look a fairly sturdy team - and certainly far more solid than Holloway's Blackpool. Watford were scared, but Almunia was surprisingly good.

Glenn Murray might be able to do a Gary Holt or Rickie Lambert for Palace next season. Chance of Shelvey on loan at Palace?

Watford's squad was crazy - the loan players are in bold:

Watford: Almunia, Doyley, Ekstrand, Cassetti, Anya, Chalobah,
Hogg, Pudil, Abdi, Deeney, Vydra.
Subs: Bond, Hall, Yeates, Briggs, Geijo, Battocchio, Forestieri.

So 7 of the starting 11 were loanees, with three out of the seven subs also loanees. So if they'd gone up, only eight players from the play-off would have been at the club for the start of the season. Mad. Most cubs who are relegated don't lose that many players.

Disappointing game between two ordinary sides.

Palace without Zaha will struggle.

They'll need a lot of new players to compete.

I suspect they may need plenty of new players even if he's loaned to them for another season, which may yet happen IMO as I'm not sure he's ManU-ready even now.

They said something during the commentary about palace spending half of their money on the stadium and half on players, I'm not sure who that came from but I think they were attributing it to one of the owners. For a change we don't really have any donkeys we'd want to flog them but I'd be happy to send them any of Coates, Suso, Shelvey, Flanagan, Robinson on loan.

Just got out of a tube filled with pissed and VERY LOUD Palace fans.

I was getting pissed just breathing

They were quite happy

Sent from a mobile device - apologies for any crap

I thought there are restrictions on the number of players a club can loan?

Loan deals arranged with foreign teams are recognised as transfers, meaning there is no limit to the number of loanees from overseas.

Thanks Binny. So that means effectively I can have a squad full of loanees?

That's ridiculous.

@Binny maybe you teach us to sit for the FIFA players agent exam and become a players agent? We have so many scouts here.

Almunia should have won man of the match despite being on the losing team.

Chalobah has been superb all season for Watford and has the potential to become a great player but he was the worst player on the pitch yesterday.

Agree with whoever said Kevin Phillips was the ideal choice for the penalty, despite Almunia's great performance Phillips was never gonna miss.

Apart from Speroni, Murray and Williams (and maybe Jedinak) Palace are going to need wholesale changes to their playing squad to have any chance of staying up.
