We already know that he was never worth the 35m we paid for him, but I'm now starting to worry that he's worth fuck all.

We bought him off the back of a good half season, he's done next to nothing since then. That's despite him moving to a club whose style suits him better. 11 games, one goal this season.

What's up with him?

He's had an injury hasn't he? Still, I kind of agree, they're playing to his strengths and it's still not happening for him. Plus he's in the big City, so I wonder if he can refrain from joining in with the lifestyle.

If the Hammers stay up do they have to complete the permanent deal or just an option?

My memory tells me if they stay up they have to take him.

That deal isn't looking so bad now

He's a confusing character. One minute he's scoring bullet headers against Sweden in the Euros, the next he's mumbling as he's substituted by West Ham.

Another footballer with too little mental strength or intelligence? I don't know but I actually do think there's a footballer in there but how to bring it out is an issue.

He and LFC are in a kind of no man's land, who's going to take him?

The person at West Ham who signed that deal should be shot. What if Carroll was injured for the majority of the season but West Ham stayed up?

Bet you anything the price is fixed but West Ham can renege on the deal.

And knowing how soft we are we will probably let them.

Allardyce should be able to get the best of him but the best of him is not worth 35m. I am predicting he will get 10 goals by the end of the season.

You'd know more than me, but I'm 99.9999999% sure that 'deal' isn't legally enforceable. I bet they wrote it in crayon, on bog roll 'yeh yeh yeh we'll buy if we stay up, scouts honour'.
There's no way they're going to pay 18mill for a striker, who can't score, in the financial position they're in.
It was just one big blag to get a player on loan, as loans always are. How often have we been promised by teams they'll buy our players if we let them have them on loan.

I'd like him to come back here in the summer, get his fucking pikey hair cut, and start banging the goals in. After being touched by some mysterious fucking witch doctor that can turn shit into gold.

He's been injured
In a side that doesn't create a lot
Playing up top on his own
New club etc

There's some excuses if you want them. Here's the reality if you prefer;

He's a championship footballer. At best.

I'm worried that the £18m transfer if they stay up part of the deal was just the one on the table eariler in the summer, when we rejected the idea of a loan move out of hand. Was it definitely still part of the deal when he actually signed for them? Because if we pull that off we've done bloody well.

There was a story about this last week. The WH fans are pleased with him, despite only the 1 goal.
They feel he's contributed to a lot of their wins and made it possible for the likes of Nolan to score goals.

They're newly promoted and in 8th after 13 games and dont look like a team that will have to fight relegation this season.

Hopefully he scores a few more, WH stay up and they buy him.
He's not good enough for us, and getting 15-18 mill for him would a great deal.

Do Stoke have any money? They might be our best bet (other than £6 million from Newcastle)

Mentioned this last week, watched him against stoke and he was poor.

Just hope the clause the hammers have is they have to sign him if they stays up.

Yep that's what TB said in the times. We essentially took a deal later on in the window which was worth less in terms of loan fee and no guarantee of a transfer at the end of the season - reason being AC wouldn't move if that permi option was there!

What's wrong with him.

He's shit - that's what's wrong with him.

He barely scores & creates more that Stewie D.
