I think he deserves his own thread.

Out for over 2 months.

No match practice.

Facing Drogba Anelka and Torres.

A man with limited pace.

A man who hasn't been involved on our recent run of clean sheets.

Up their with Istanbul for me.

He made looking after Torres seem easy!

Yup, it was a class performance.

He may be getting on but as Sami showed us, if you read the game that well, you can get away without being as quick as you were 2-3 years ago, not that he was ever particularly quick.

Fuck it, he's ace. End of.
 
I give him alot of stick on here but after Tonights performance I have to say I was very impressed. All 3 CB's played well

Absolutely.

I think the enforced break has done him good.

Regardless of a bit of match fitness he was back to organising the defence and putting a foot in when it was needed, I also did not see many Carra hoofs

well he had more options because of the tactics employed by KK. So yes.
 
Very impressed with him today. Should help him alleviate some of the doubters he was picking up before christmas.

He may be losing some pace but as they say, the first 2 yards are in the head and he showed today he still has his game intelligence

That first time he got the ball on the edge of the area & he was dispossessed by 5 players was superb.
 
Your best post ever DB. Carra was by far and away our MOM today. Not only for his own display but for the way he inspired those around him. He hadnt played for five or six weeks and was barely able to talk in the aftermatch interview. Absolute fucking legend.

Not that Carra needed a performance like that to cement any sort of status in front of LFC fans though.

Jamie Carragher's been a Liverpool legend for quite some time, make no fucking mistake.
