Carlos Tevez may miss season's start after slip in shower

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/aug/04/manchester-city-carlos-tevez-injured-in-shower

I think clubs who buy superstars with uge wages should make sure that their assets do not get injured at home:

  • [li]Make sure staff is at hand to bathe them and wipe them at all time
Make sure they don't change TV channels, staff must be at hand to press the remote
Make sure when they play with their children, the staff is to kick the balls
    etc etc[/li]

van der sar is out for a few months as well after breaking his hand or something.

utd will probably start with the young english lad and its not like city are short of strikers either

Foster is shite. There's a reason why he has been 3rd in line, even behind Kuszackwhashisface.
This will not strengthen them, it will see them conceed some easy goals instead.

Phooey. Foster's never let them down. Kuszczak got his chance ahead of him (a) because he's more experienced and (b) because Ginsoak spent money on him. He's not ahead of Foster any more.

I don't think Fosters been tested yet so it's difficult to judge. I do think he might be a bit overrated though

He's had one fine season for Watford where he proved he could stop some of the umpteen shots he faced week in, week out, and has looked assured for United on occasion, but I dunno if he's good enough to be a long-term successor to VDS.

I thought VDV had been unreliable for a couple of years, but he still won the golden glove, so I can't see it'll be much of an issue whoever takes over. What they need is a nice idiot like Barthez.

City's strike force is ridiculas,

Santa Cruz will expect to start.
Adebayour will expect to start.
Robinho will expect to start.
Tevez will expect to start.

Return of the good old 4-2-4?

Or hope one's always injured and have 3 up front..

Re: Carlos Crocked, now Crock Rock too!

Rocky is also a crocky

So we are not the only one who signed a crock

Adebayor reported back from Togo's 2-0 midweek defeat to Angola with a groin strain, compounding what has been a frustrating past month for Hughes where his four new goalscoring acquisitions are concerned. Roque Santa Cruz, having recuperated from surgery on his right knee, will visit a consultant on Monday after developing what is understood to be tendinitis in his left. Carlos Tevez has had just 25 minutes of pre-season football after exacerbating a bruised heel by falling in a hotel shower on tour with the club, and Craig Bellamy has been able to take part in only two light training sessions before yesterday as a result of his own knee problems.A strained groin meant Given sat out the Republic of Ireland's 3-0 defeat to Australia on Wednesday.

Seems like we are not the only club that signs crocks.
