car park accidents & honesty

A lady reversed into my car last night whilst getting out of a space and caused several hundreds pounds worth of damage to both cars.

She drove off the cow !!

Luckily my mate was in the car park and took a picture of her car leaving the scene. The car park is opposite my office and my mate thought he recognised her so I sent an email around the office asking her to own up as I have her reg and a witness, no reply

I went back to the car park at lunchtime today and she was parked in the exact same spot as yesterday with all my paint on her wing, not exactly cunning is she.

She owned up a couple of hours ago when someone told me who she was, she claimed she was in a rush to get her kids from school (it was nearly 6pm so not sure about that) and she was too embarrased to talk about it. She said she had planned at sometime today to ask around to see if anyone from our office owned the car. Anyway the cow is now having to claim through her insurance.

I honestly would leave a note if I wacked someone in a car park, especially one next to work.

Would you, have you in the past?
