Annual event.

Have 3 teams from Sydney, 5 from Melbourne, 2 from Brisbane ... in the A Level competition.

Our semi-final against Sydney went to a penalty shoot out... which we lost.

Thought I'd post it up anyway... was pretty damn fired up after I saved it lol.

I only made the one save ... My team took the first penalty, I'm the keeper in the red top.

Penalty save @ 2:43 🙂

LOL, they took it very seriously didn't they?

Anyway, nice save.

Its a comp that all team takes seriously.

The tournament is like 20 yrs old now... so the rivlary goes back to when our fathers were playing.

THe side we lost to, Sydney, we have mutual frienship with ... its lasted 10-15 yrs ....

But the cross town rivals from Brisbane, there is nothing but absolute hatred.

I was absolutely gutted after that semi final shootout ... i was doing a John terry and crying my eyes out ... we trained 3 times a day for 5 months for this tournament, was gutted to lose on shootouts.

The Sikh games?

Yeah, they take it seriously.

I think even teams from Thailand and Malaysia go for that

Yeah in the past we've had teams from Singapore and Malaysia come over ... even a few sides from the UK - erm, is there a town called Barking? .. something like that, they've had a side or two over here.

Even had some sides from Norway and Canada.

Barking is John Terry's home town I believe.

Nice save, although I don't trust keepers with tracksuit bottoms on 😉 With short sleeves is even worse!

Why are 80% of them wearing white boots? And why has the ref got a cap on?

Nah not wearing tracksuit bottoms... wearing 3/4 gk pants.

I wear short sleeves ... and the ref wore a hat ... because this is Australia and it was 30 degrees celcius!

Are other religions excluded from playing Roopy? You should get Ryan to throw on a turban for next year.

Yeah you have to be either Sikh or married to a Sikh.

So ryan could marry a sikh then?
[/quote]

Theoretically.
