Interesting article in todays echo - http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/liverpool-fc-boss-brendan-rodgers-7556146

I remember at the time there were a lot of stories coming out that this was true. I also remember there was quite a lot 6CM opposition to him becoming manager or technical director whatever (not from me because I hardly knew who he was) I seem to remember someone calling him a 'mad cunt' - Anyway thought I'd share the article.

Bit shocking that we rejected such a footballing genius really.

Surprised Brendan did not want to work under the benevolent master.

In case you weren't aware, LvG is likely to play a 3-5-2 this year.

He is in fact the first manager to ever even attempt to do that. Anywhere. 3 men at the back, not 4. 3. I'd say you were out of your mind if you just told me that, but apparently he's been doing it in the pre season. So it's real. Certainly the Premier League has never seen the likes of it.

I'm delighted that every media outlet on this Earth has a rolling news feed on this man and his formations. It's just going to be simply sensational to watch this 3-5-2 he speaks of.

Utter madness altogethor.

Koeman was using a 3-5-2 towards the end of last season with Feyenoord. Feyenoord's defenders made up most of the Dutch defence at the World Cup where LvG totally revolutionised football by using them in a 3-5-2 formation.

Koeman should have baggsied it.

He was also the first ever manager to sub in a different goalkeeper for a penalty shoot-out.

God I hope we batter these clowns and feed the resulting dish to some fat chick in Fulham.

I heard somewhere that he is so meticulous in his analysis of his squad he has even put in multiple cameras at their training ground!!!!! I have to say I'm very very impressed with his.... You know.... Meticulousness!

His biggest tool of man management is his ability to use his Mickey as a motivator, apparently.

Martin O'Neill done it in the 90's. I'm going to start dressing like he did in the 90's to see if Ryan calls me a fashion genius.
