Apparently at least on Espn
Any truth to it?

Why would he not work with FSG ? Owners that support the manager with funds and give him time to follow his vision ?........ people are assuming it will be Klopp if Rodgers does go but Im not so sure he would work with FSG

Watching Everton play with a much smaller budget than ours makes me wish we'd appointed Martinez rather than Rodgers at the time. There is nothing on ESPN about this, sounds like bullshit. Also if we were going to sack him after a poor result then getting dicked 3-0 at home by West Ham was much worse than losing away at Old Trafford which has happened most seasons for the last 20 years. It does feel like hes waiting for the bullet now, but I have absolutely no faith in FSG to get the appointment right. This is a management group whose entire shortlist for one of the biggest jobs in world football was Rodgers and Martinez. They have displayed a stunning lack of ambition so far and I wouldnt be too confident that is about to change, people are assuming it will be Klopp if Rodgers does go but Im not so sure he would work with FSG
I hope John Henry roundhouses the shit out of Rodgers and says "Time's up, buddy".
Anything else and I say we get a march/ticket boycott going.
Ayre will back BR

They have shape, bring in youngsters, hardly wate money in the transfer market, and actually play football.
I wanted Martinez at the time, but was also happy to see them appoint Rodgers. Looks like a bad choice.
They are half arsing it with this scattergun transfer committe approach to signings, and happy to sell off our best players whenever somebody comes knocking with cash. Hes already built one great side and seen it broken apart by a club eager to sell off its best talent rather than invest in retaining it, its a law of diminishing returns, you cant expect to make progress if you keep selling players like Suarez and Sterling and then just hoping you can spend 50 million on 4 players gambling one of them might come good 2 or 3 years down the line. I cant think of any successful club that operates a similar transfer policy to us.
Exactly JJ far from criticise I think they should be praised for standing as firm as they possibly could in these instances.FSG have certainly made their share of mistakes (though as it happens I would put their preference for a younger manager high on the list) but I don't agree with this summary of their approach to selling players. With both Suarez and Sterling they absolutely did not rush to sell but, on the contrary, resisted doing so till it became clear that the players themselves were adamant, and then held out for stonking transfer fees. They can be justifiably criticised for a number of things, but not for that.
Wouldn't it better if he smashed him with a clock or something whilst saying "time's up buddy?"
It would be more American.

Part of that though has been a pretty poor defence at times. They've started this season much better at the back, but (a) they have yet to prove they can sustain it over the longer term and (b) what are they going to do when Stones buggers off to the Chavs or whoever next summer?
I don't get this either.Martinez was mocked as a disaster last season, wasn't he??? Where's this re-evaluation come from - because they've had a couple of decent results??
Agree with (a).
As for (b) - what did we do when Suarez left for Barca?
It's a test for Martinez. I believe he's signed an Argentine defender' so he must be preparing himself for Stones departure.
Look, I'm not sure Martinez is the perfect manager for us. All I'm saying is that I'm very disappointed with Rodgers, and looks like Martinez was a better choice,
There's so much potential.
"Times up, buddy. Don't forget to CLOCK out"
*smashes clock over head.
