Coe may have a point about there being splits in the governance of the English game and it may well be true but thats not why blatter didnt pull for us nor why we didnt get the WC.

Blatter would have been more accurate if he'd said the FA is run by suckers. Idiots run most national FAs all over the world. You won't find any of them intellectually impressive. But the English FA proved themselves suckers by actually doing research on what FIFA wanted during the last World Cup campaign. They listened, learnt, and bent over backwards to ingratiate themselves with FIFA and impress them with their plans. And FIFA knew it, and simply relished the chance to shaft them for their troubles. There wasn't much that was stupid about the FA's last campaign, except that they took FIFA at its word and thought the process was going to be fair. It wasn't, obviously, it was shamelessly corrupt, and the FA team were well and truly tricked. Suckers, and not, in this one instance, stupid.
