I applied last night - but it got rejected on the basis that I would immediately get rid of some of the players based on previous year's performance and gut feeling that they would not be good enough. Then I named them, and blamed them for not making CL this season.
 
What sort of money do you reckon they pay for that role?

Seems weird that they have advertised it rather than getting an agency to go out and find the person from another club.

Agencies charge fixed fees plus 15-20% of salary. If you don’t have the capability in house to market the role and filter the candidates then an agency adds value. If you have massive market presence and the role can only be filled by a select group of people then there’s no reason not to just go to market. Finally, sometimes the role is being filled internally and the company are just going through the motions of looking for external hires
