Chinese investors Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux have completed the £628m (740m euro) takeover of AC Milan, promising "significant capital increases".

The Serie A club have been owned by former Italy prime minister Silvio Berlusconi since 1986.
In that time they won eight league titles and five European Cups.

However, Milan have not won Serie A since 2011 and finished seventh, 10th and eighth in the last three seasons. They are currently sixth in the league, 20 points behind leaders Juventus.

With Inter also having a takeover this season hopefully we see a more competitive Serie A in a couple of years.

They've been on a downswing for a while which is a pity.

It would be great to see them back in the Champions League and competing for honours.

What a club this guy built and tried to maintain ... 29 trophies I think in 31 years ...

Such players he saw wear the rossoneri shirt in the 80s and early 90s ... Baresi, Billy Costacurta, Nesta, Maldini, Tassotti, Boban, Savecevic, Desailly, Riijark, Guillt, Van Basten, Papin etc etc ...
Sheva, Kaka, Seerdorf, Zlatan, Thiago etc ...
Big Ears, scudettos etc

Not a great man, but was a great owner.

Love how people automatically assume a takeover means a club with go from finishing mid table last 3 years to competing with Juve within 3 months.

I don't really like the Milan clubs and would prefer Roma Napoli Lazio to challenge Juve for titles.
