I am being silly, I know, even to suggest this at the moment but with all the silly transfers being touted about, like Reira & Masher going to Barca, San Jose to Bilboa, er who else have I missed?

Xabi having gone back to Spain, is it not possible that it is paving the way for Rafa to depart for Spain as well? (I know, I am being facetious). But who knows?

But selling them all to different clubs and presumably strengthening the opposition of the phantom club he intends to manage doesn't seem very clever.

The standard practice would be to find a club and THEN try to poach the players to join you. Silly old Rafa.
