Just like that other kid whose name I've plain forgotten. Adam something. I have to look it up, he scored that one goal for us in pre season. Adam Morgan.

It’s a sad state of affairs that being decent yet unproven footballer can get a guaranteed £2.5 million even if he turns out a bit shit.

On the other hand it's virtually impossible for us to lose money on this. Even with a hand full of appearances and a couple of goals his value in 2 years would be £5m-£10m

He's shown himself capable of impacting games at every level he's had an opportunity.

He's unlikely to be one of our all time greats but even producing someone who can have a long career in the Premier League is an achievement

I have seen a wow factor with both Woodburn and Brewster. Not Suares level wow but getting there.

And that was whilst under pressure and up against senior international defenders. He probably deserved at least a few appearances after that, but Klopp must have decided no fuck that, I'm under pressure so fuck you it's all about number one here, and duly consigned him to Adam Morgan's destiny.

I don't get the downer on him at all. He looks boss

Me neither. His game intelligence is a big plus for me, he plays like a much more experienced player. But he's got quality too, he needs games now. Firmino has been hit and miss and Sturridge is fucked, so him and Solanke deserve more games.

He's got a lot of talent, but like Suso before him, he's struggling to impose himself on games due to a lack of upper body strength. Hopefully it will come.

Obviously a justified worry, but seeing him recently he looks much bigger than he was. Perhaps klopp is toning him up before unleashing him again.

I don't doubt it. I just hope it helps him impose himself on the game a bit more. Some youngsters never learn how to do that, no matter how many steaks they are fed.

I believe Rush is a good example of someone it did work for. They tried to beef Suso up, but he still struggled to impose himself in the Prem. He's only now starting to fulfil his potential (although I'm not sure if that is due to bulking up or the differences in the Italian game).

I'd also like to believe that working with one of our greatest ever players might also help.

18 years old or not, he needs to start locking down a permanent position. He is not a Stevie G and we don't want him to end up like AOC.

He's very quiet and reserved off the field - the club did an interview with him after the new contract and it was like getting blood from a stone - but he's a really good prospect on the pitch. Very smart, excellent technique, and a decent finisher. It's not a 'problem' but at present he's sort of 'inbetween roles'. That's mainly why he's yet to make a big impact at senior level for us. He can come on and blast in a goal, like he did for Wales, but he hasn't yet settled into a particular role that best channels his talents. I think the coaches are working especially hard on developing his defensive discipline and positional sense in our half, but there's also the interesting prospect of seeing whether he develops more as a forward or midfielder, or somewhere floating between the two. I suspect the latter will be his best option in terms of his talent. Whether it's his best option in terms of finding a place in the first XI is another matter.
