Dunno about everyone else but I'm not terribly impressed. Maybe it's bit like fans of Tolkien being unimpressed by Peter Jackson (harsh!) but I think it was pretty shite.
I was born in 68 and due to distance (it mattered back then!!) I didn't get to see Liverpool in the flesh until '76 so all my Shankly knowledge came from my dad. He was Bootle born but married a Lincolnshire girl in Yorkshire whilst with the RAF. From 76 onward I got to Anfield reasonably regularly. By the mid 80's I was turning down more offers for tickets than I could attend from my cousins! I went to games in Yorkshire which had its down side. In the latter 90's I lived in Lancashire and briefly had a season ticket.
So much seemed to be missed from this documentary. It focussed on finals and on the main personalities. I realise, like the LotR there was a lot to cover, but the end of the boot room was probably more dramatic than the start.
