So we've been hearing moving going on in the attic and I was worried we had rodents – mice, or their larger cousins. So armed with a torch and a shit-load of mouse traps I opened the hatch and peered into the cob-webby gloom. I see loads of little shits everywhere and think it looks pretty like mouse shit. I'm perched up there snapping my fucking fingers to bits arming the traps when I see a bat flying about the place. Pretty big by bat standards. And apparently it is extremely rare to find the winter roosts of this kind of bat.
I'm aware you're not allowed to clear bats out, and they're protected, and actually, I don't mind that. They're cool creatures. However, am I allowed to go in my attic and like, get shit down from there? The Christmas shit is up there for starters and the pressies normally hide there too. If I do go up will the wee bastards go nuts like in some crazy bat-cave scene? Anyone here have bats?
