Did it really need a thread about an Everton player moving to Chelsea? Could it not have been discussed in Jan Speculation, like say, when I did a few hours ago?
 
I think it's a steal. He's always struck me as the sort of player who'd flourish if surrounded by quality.
 
It's a shame for the likes of Stoke that he'll disappear into the arse end of Chelsea's squad.
 
I think with Ox, Klopp already has enough of a project so rather him someone else in.
Can see Chelsea loaning him out in a year after not playing much.
 
with the right coaching and application from the player he could be a great buy for £15m
 
The standard of player judgement seems to have rapidly declined around here these last few months and years. It's at a point where even I'm consistently reading opinions and thinking what the fuck this person knows less about football than I do.
 
I'm on the fence with Barkley. His ability to carry the ball is excellent but he just seems really thick.
 
I suspect this thread's sole purpose is a clever ploy by Modo to refer back to it the next time he's accused of hating English players, so as to go look see, see, you're wrong, I don't hate them, see wah wah wah see you're wrong so there, and so forth. That's all this is. He's clearly shit and that's it.

As I said before, I think Klopp could mould him into something very useful. Steal at that money. Everton scousers end up as great Liverpool players.

I'm having a hard time imagining the guy "expecting" anything TBH, Peter. I'd hazard a guess that "er..." is about his limit..

Got to love the guy for the last part.... but 20 mill these days is about half a Siggursson only so no big deal

Yeah, love it but a pound to a penny says that's all his agent's doing. It would be fascinating to see what percentage the agent got Barkley to agree to pay him.

Now if we were talking Charles Barkley, the ex-basketball star, I'd have no trouble believing it of him. He's responsible for one of my favourite quotes: "My daughter's boyfriends? I figure if I kill the first one, word'll get out." :vamp:

I always thought he was a bit shit. Kind of a more stupid version of Jack Wilshere (if that's even possible) - £15mill though.... I suppose it's worth a punt.
