Heading to Bangkok for a couple of days and Vietnam for 11-12 days next month. Have had my initial jabs and one Hep B one left. Got a load of DEET spray from a colleague who was in Bali I think recently. The doctor said we should be fine without malaria tablets given we're pretty much going Hanoi, Hoi An and Ho Chi Mihn, although we are spending a day/night travelling along Halong Bay, going to My Son Holy Land, Mekong Delta and the Cu Chi Tunnels. Would anyone here say it's a bit risky to forgeo the tablets or should I be grand just lashing the deet all over myself and carry on?
