I know there's been a lot of talk re Sturridge and Walcott, but should we be focusing our efforts on this chap at 7.5mill? That's going to be considerably cheaper than the other two. The only thing we might get stung on is his wages, if he's after 90k a week.
I'm not sure whether he'd come to us, but money talks I guess.

He's pretty lethal infront of goal, and can play anywhere in the front 3.

I'd have thought he'd be the most cost effective option if he'd come?

27, my newcastle supporting mate says there's been no issues with his knee since they've had him.

Since he's been in the premier league, he's done the following games to goals:
12/7
34/16
17/11

He's rubbish outwide.

I've never seen any real details about the knee injury, most of the headlines are Pulis trying to cover his arse for not keeping him.

Ba suffered a knee injury late in 2006 playing for the Belgian club Mouscron. It was a bad injury which left a serious fracture in the tibia and fibula, resulting in him being out for 8 months.

It was then claimed that the surgeon botched the op. This resulted in Ba struggling with knee pain due to muscle damaged on the operating table.

Allegedly the problem stems from a nail inserted in his tibia that touched a sensitive part of the knee when it was removed. Subsequent surgery cleaned up the joint, but it has been enough to prompt most clubs to treat him with caution.

He scores goals. And lots of them. He's currently the second highest scorer in the Premier League. At 7.5 million, it would be a no-brainer for me.

Not quite a no-brainer IMO, not after the trouble he's had in the past (we'd need to be 100% sure it won't come back), but subject to the medical being right I'd sign him in preference to either Sturridge or Walcott any day. He looked a class player at the Hammers before he even went to Newcastle and I was quietly hoping we might move in for him then.

If you guess at the numbers (what's been rumoured), it might look something like this:
Sturridge 15mill 70k a week
Walcott 15mill 100k a week
Ba 7.5mill 90k a week

You'd have to take Ba all day long as long as he can pass a medical. He be a goalscoring machine on the chances we create and miss.

We will only get him if Arsenal don't want him. If he signs for them he'll be brilliant, if he signs for us he'll be shit. That's just the way it is.

Apperantly this is the deal with knee injury:

It turns out that Ba has a knee problem, which he received playing for Belgian club ‘Mouscron.’ (No I have never heard of them either – and you never will again, because they suspended operations in 2009 after being declared bankrupt!) It was a pretty nasty injury which left a serious fracture in Demba’s tibia and fibula (the front and back bone of the leg), resulting in him being out for 8 months.

As if he wasn’t unlucky enough to be on the injury list – the surgeon only went and did a botch job! Yup! This resulted in Ba struggling with knee pain due to muscle damaged on the operating table. it is believed the problem stems from a nail inserted in his tibia that touched a sensitive part of the knee when it was removed.

Subsequent surgery cleaned up the joint, but it has been enough to prompt most clubs to treat him with caution.

A. K. A what macca said

He scores goals playing in Suarez position, we're not going to replace Suarez, should be end of discussion.

Sorry, JJ. I meant to say "subject to a medical". And a fairly thorough one at that.
