I think its his "talkin the talk" that impressed our owners,but of course,walkin the walk is a totally different ball game.
We had to contend with the 8-match Suarez ban and all that controversy. We were also still waiting for Carroll to make a meaningful contribution to our season, which came far too late in the end.
Yes, of course, it's Dalglish's fault. It's his fault this pipsqueak is out of his depth.
We also won the Leage Cup and got to the final of the FA Cup where.... well, we all know how close we came there...

"It's a disappointing result and performance from us," Rodgers told BBC Sport. "I don't know where that came from as it's not been like us. We were careless with our final ball and didn't end up taking our chances.

Yep, its frustrating as hell. But it happens every time we're at this stage. When we're supposed to take a step forward we crumble and deliver a horrendous performance.
Yes, God help me for giving the manager some time. Yet people wanted to give Kenny another year after the worst league performance in God knows how long.
Rodgers deserves a fair go. It wasnt helped by the transfer window this summer, but lets see what happens in january and how we'll line up after that. The squad is awful thanks to our horrendous transfer dealings the last 3 years.
Rodgers needs more than 1 window to shape his team.

Scoring on 50% of your shots on target doesnt happen to often. Credit to Villa but we gave the ball away twice on the halfway line which resulted in goals. And quelle surprise we cant score at all.

This club is not a glorified finishing school for young managers. It doesn't exist for Rodgers. He's either up to it now or not at all. It's not there to indulge him. If you want to support him instead of the club, fine, but keep it to yourself.

Why does he deserve four months? What do you expect him to have done in four more months? Praised more players for their courageous mistakes? Slagged off more players to the hacks in a bid to save his hide? Talked about fighting for his life 1000 more times? Invented more phantom positions for players who don't have a clue what he's talking about? Got the team up to tenth? Watching the first half again, and we played well for the first 25 mins. Shame we couldnt get the first goal. After they scored the 2nd we folded like a cheap hooker.

If we'd have won today, we'd be 2points off 4th going into the xmas period. And you'd be fucking hating it due to it not fitting your agenda of loathing Rodgers and thinking The Lying Rag shines out of Kenny's arse.
But, we lost, and now you're happy as Larry as it gives you plenty of ammo to fire off at the boss as we're not Barcelona inside 6months. Obviously Rome was built overnight, by Kenny I presume.
I don't think Rodgers is the messiah, but he needs time, and more importantly, players that give a fuck and want to win. If he gets that, he will get it right, I promise you.
I dont agree with macca about wanting Rogers sacked but i do agree he fucking deserves it for what we've produced so far. The only reason i think he should be given more time is it would be too embarrassing to change right now.
He better have some of that Irish luck somewhere because this calmly spoken philosophy shite is wearing thin in light of the painful fare we are being served week in week out.
