I'd play that too, maybe Shelvey instead of Gerrard. Allen, Sterling and Gerrard badly need a rest. Suarez should be chopping at the bit having had a week and a half rest.

The chap could use some meaningful minutes especially now that we're out of the League Cup and the FA Cup doesn't start until January while Europa League games don't start until February. If he does well, it'll put a bit of pressure on Sterling so he doesn't get complacent.

He was a goal threat yesterday so I'd have no problem him starting in a front 3 Saturday.
If Enrique isn't ready then it looks like it will happen.

I am no fan of Joe Cole but that was a top drawer finish yesterday.
He doesn't offer an awful lot to the team but I reckon outside of Suarez and Gerrard (really a Stevie from a few seasons back) he is the best finisher in the team

I hear what you're saying about his finish yesterday but there has to be more evidence than one strike to support that kind of claim.

He still offers extremely little imho. Has the ability to look knackered after 5 mins and dont have the touch he used to.

Good movement for the goal, but 90k a week should get you something else. Hopefully this will result in some clubs wanting him in january. West Ham and QPR in particular
