Precisely ... tough competition ... i think the skills are there, and if he learns to apply himself every minute he's on the pitch, we may have a very good player on our hands. Doubtful, but I'm trying to be optimistic and shit.

I appear to be in the minority here but I'm still a bit flumoxed about Assiadi. In the very few games he played last season he looked okay. Admittedly not superstar but definately competent. I don't understand why he didn't get more game time
 
He isn't as bad as you make out at all Ryan. There is a player there. He's tricky and can carry the ball into dangerous areas of the pitch. I'd like to see him have a year on loan to evaluate him.

He's a poorer version of Jermaine Pennant.
 
Pennant carried the ball across the pitch, at least Assaidi tries to run towards the opposition goal.

We haven't seen enough of Assaidi for him to warrant such a tag. He'll probably be sold for a similar fee to what we bought him for.

He can't even get on the bench for a team that finishes 7th Dave.

I'm willing to bet he's not all that.
 
I found the whole transfer odd. I thought he might suprise us and play a lot of cameo roles but he barely featured. We'll break even on the transfer and move on it seems.
