I remember watching him live against United at Anfield and he was crap. Sloppy touch, late to everything and the pace of the league seemed too much for him. He has carved out a decent career for himself but the move to Madrid is still bizarre.

As for Aspas, to me it's glaringly obvious he's a homeboy who should never have left Spain. That being the case, I actually respect the guy for having a go here even if it ended up a spectacular failure.

They'll use him largely as an impact player off the bench IMHO. He's had some success in such a role for Spain, and playing for Real against some of the dross lower down La Liga won't be anywhere near the challenge for him that playing against even the strugglers in the Prem would have been.
