I have said in the past how this is If we should be relegated thrown out of the cl at the first loose to everton twice but sign this bowerh I will still feel it has not been a bad season.

How could we let him slip through our fingers is Parryesquely Criminal.
 
We have no idea what his demands are so its difficult to say. If we miss out then obviously thats a disappointment but very few players turn down Madrid or Barcelona for Liverpool.

Madrid is where you want to go once you're an established star.

They have a pretty shit record in recent times of producing players through their youth system who go on to play for the first team - although there have been many who have come through their system and established themselves elsewhere.

The main 2 through the ranks that spring to mind are Casillas & Raul.

More recently there's Carvajal ... Alvaro Morata - although he was a product of Atletico & Getafe's youth systems before being snapped up by Madrid.

But that's about it ... any others?

If Odegaard goes to Madrid then he's got some poor advisers - unless they've worked out a program with one of their feeder clubs .......like Liverpool.

I agree, though, if we aren't after him in a big way we're insane. Father & son LFC supporters - we should have been able to get something happening. I'm more convinced than ever he will make it.

This feels on a par to Parry, nearly losing Gerrard, Soul numbing Incompetence. Seems to ooze from every floor in that place.
 
There are a lot of players in La Liga that have spent some time in the academies of the top two, for obvious reasons.

Youngsters don't go to Real Madrid with the intention of getting first team football at Getafe a few years later, they want to make it at Real (unless they're being ridiculously pragmatic and just want to take advantage of top class facilities and coaches). Roopy's point was that if that's the goal, they're on to a bit of a loser.

Do we know who is advising them? Besides Suso and Arbeloa that is.
