Dortmund director of football Michael Zorc has been approached about taking in a job in the Premier League with Arsenal believed to be interested in the German.

Zorc has been sounded out by a firm of London-based headhunters who have been used by Arsenal in the past about the possibility of a switch to England.

Although the club in question is being kept a closely guarded secret by all parties, Arsenal are on the lookout for a sporting director and it is understood 54-year-old Zorc is interested in the proposal he received.

Former Arsenal winger Marc Overmars, who is director of football at Ajax, has claimed that he is on a list of candidates for the Arsenal post.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis wants to appoint a sporting director to either work with Arsene Wenger or a new Arsenal manager if the Frenchman leaves.

If I remember correctly, we were also rumoured to be after Zorc around the time we signed Klopp. Anyway, there are other mentions of unrest from the Tuchel camp. Word going around is that he's lost alot of the players backing and also feels alienated by the people above him. It does sound logical given that Dortmund haven't really been pushing Bayern since he took over even with the admirable squad they have.

Tuchel 'complained several times' about his squad at start of the season and thought target of direct CL qualification (top 3) was too high.

Tuchel is said to be 'isolated' at BVB and, unless things change quickly (with the insinuation that's down to him), an exit very possible.

Bild say Tuchel has fallen out with Watzke, Zorc, club president Rauball, chief scout Mislintat, and lost the backing of 'many' players.

Bild say Lucien Favre could be a good option to replace Thomas Tuchel at #BVB, as an exit looks increasingly possible.

The rarely mentioned Head of Scouting Sven Mislintat apparently deserves quite a lot of credit for their signings.
