Excellent performance from our Reserve Team, we really should have been ahead but for that stupid cunt Henderson. Knocking it about very nicely with some nice touches around their box. Unlucky to be behind. If I was Anji's owner I would be absolutely livid that after spending all that money his team are struggling, at home, to get the better of Liverpool's reserves.

Skirtl may have had a 50 pence head but he was never this bad.

Whenever this guy play, he always seems to make a mistake that costs us.

Today's mistake is school boy defending.
 
I'm hugely in favour of passing the ball out from the back, but if you do that you really must pass it out, not pass it sideways back and forth and then lose it. If that's going to keep happening the keeper might as well just kick it - at least then possession will be lost further up the field. It's far too slow and laboured in most recent matches.
 
Coates always looks like he's had one too many doobies to me, both the expression on his face and the way he ambles around the pitch.

Seems silly to reply to you in this thread, but hey, it seems silly that the other one is still locked.

So yeah, for the record, it's not that Cole annoys me, it's just that I don't see a point to him playing. He's not going to break back into regular first team football, and I don't see him as an old head who will carry the kids through a tough euro away fixture.
 
Don't know what Henderson had in his mind when he passed instead of shot. He needs his head examined in the dressing room.

Other than that - we've put in a very disciplined performance and going in a goal down really sucks. They don't look that great at the back; hopefully injecting a bit more pace and creativity / ambition in front in the second half will see us come home with a point.

I thought Carragher was catching Traore relatively comfortably, Jones made it easy coming out so far.

Coates mistake but I thought centre halves covered for each other, if the ball is played long to a lone striker one goes to win it and the other(s) covers incase he doesn't.

Maybe managers like his attitude and work in training and feel compelled to give him a chance to translate all that work at Melwood into results in games. Unfortunately, that hasn't worked out at all. This game could be his last one for us (well, I hope so).

I thought Jones did come out far too quickly but what can you do ... Coates should have taken him down for a yellow once his gamble didn't pay off.

I guess I was just projecting based on your post. As I post this Joe Cole goes offside when he would have a good goal scoring opportunity.
