Just to let you know if you are:
Merseyrail are on a strike on the Friday so half hour services only. Expect every train to Aintree to be heaving. Normal service for the Saturday.
Also Warbreck Moor leading up to the racecourse has been narrowed from two lanes to two coming from Walton Vale so traffic will be extra backed up there.
Warbreck Moor is also closed after the races until 8 p.m. (whole weekend) so you will need to walk to Walton Vale at least to be picked up / get a taxi
All in all expect chaos and leave earlier than normal.
