Alonso did say he was getting into coaching the other day.......

Zidane MkII

I read some rumours this morning swirling about that they want Klopp to replace him?

No Neuer, Hummels, Robben, Ribery. Goalie has played just 10 matches over the past 2 seasons. Most notable signings in recent seasons were Sanches, Hummels, Coman, Vidal and Costa but only 2 of these have been regulars. Lost the likes of Kroos, Schweinsteiger, Alonso, Lahm, Gotze. The Sule and Rudy deals were typical Bayern moves to weaken domestic teams but pales in comparision to the likes of Gotze, Lewandowski deals. So those in charge of transfers definitely need to shoulder a bit of the responsibility.

Ancelotti is not without blame too. Remember reading about how he stuck to the regular starting/best XI during his time at Real Madrid and PSG and seldom rotate/give chance to younger/squad players to develop them (as opposed to say Zidane who fully utilised the squad).

P6 W4 D1 L1 in the Bundersliga and one away loss in the Champions League against the biggest spending team in Europe.

Really cannot believe that! Neuer being out is a huge factor to consider. I've no love for Carlo ancelotti but this seems ridiculous and agenda driven

I get the impression that something isn't right in the camp. There will be some player power shit going on behind the scenes. I know it was only preseason but I couldn't believe the utterly lifeless performance they gave against us and other teams in that tournament.

ESPN are putting that out. They were also prominent in "reports" that Barcelona were about to sign Coutinho. 'Nuff said.

Carlo Wild, chief reporter at German sports magazine Kicker

The relationship between Ancelotti and the team and the leadership of the club has been far from perfect for a long time.

The big problem was Carlo Ancelotti has a completely different style to Pep Guardiola.

The atmosphere in the team was very, very bad in the past few weeks. I think he lost the respect of his players.

It's an absolute joke of a decision, but that's the fickle sport of modern football.

Kicker is reporting that the players organised their own separate training sessions away from Ancelotti

Couldn't swear to it and can't be @rsed to google it, but I have a feeling Heynckes was in the Moenchengladbach side we beat in our first European triumph (in what's now the Europa League) in 1973.
