Not so many years ago I purchased a Dan PC, who are now extinct, I think it had a 1 gig hard drive and a 14" monitor that cost me over £1200, a pretty good price for what at the time was a pretty well spec'd computer.
Currys are advertising a desktop PC with a 19" flat screen for under £300, it was only a couple of years ago when you would have paid £300 for a 19" monitor.
Also a Packard Bell lap top for under £300.
