For love of God. This is the day most of us have been praying for....It's like the divorce finally came through - going out on your first night and pulling a corker at the bar!

The excitement and air of anticipation is back. The desperate clean out, the fresh ideas can finally be injected into our club.

I want to fall in love with Football again, get a tingle on Saturday mornings, log into 6cm without having a fucking agenda.

I want to feel the tickle in my pants as kick off approaches.

I'VE BEEN TORTURED FOR 11 Long years with this shite, turgid, dog awful, hoof and hope brand of football.

I'm off to buy a new fucking Porsche!! (except it better not be the Hodgson edition)

Yehhhhhh babayyyyyyyy

slightly dovetailing with your post is that i'm at least interested in what's going on for the first time in a long time.

Then we awaken with the realisation Roy fucking Hodgson is being linked with our beloved managers job

I'm a bit worried.

i'm counting worry as interest. i'll take what i can get.

Can't say I'm excited one fucking bit about the uncertainty that surrounds our club right now. I'd have been much happier if the owners were leaving.

We haven't pulled a stunner and will probably end up with a ginger minger.

I'm excited at the prospect of change as I feel we desperately needed it, but I'm anxious about what lies ahead.

Also, the fact that his departure isn't yet official makes me a bit nervous.

I worry this is all a bit Newcastle. Getting Kenny back seems a bit keegan/shearer-like.

Hope I am wrong

I think most of us were at the point where any change would be for the better.

The thought of another season of bizarre substitutions, Lucas, stale, clueless football pushed me to to the brink of Liverpool depression.

At this point, if Kenny is re-appointed, I will have possibly the most positively happy summer in a decade!

Oh he's gone.

Never ever do we hear so much media furore without some kind of action.

If we were looking at a permanent appointment I'd agree with you. Putting him in as caretaker would be a very different matter and IMO the best option by far at this point.

I am not getting excited yet because we have only made progress on one half of the problem. I will start feeling excited when we have got rid of the existing owners.

The feeling was completely different.....this is all about fresh impetus and a new course and direction in our philosophy.

I wouldn't say we've pulled a 'corker' just yet - Its more like getting absolutely cunted, waking up the next morning in some bedroom you don't recognise and then having to roll over to see what you've bedded..

I think it's extremely good news, as for this great club to rise again we need a new manager, new players and new owners.

Rafa is the first one to go, and I bet the other two will soon follow. This is a needed action if we're going to get over the internal shite we've had for two years now.

Finally, we're on the way towards some more stability. When the owners finally leave, then we're really talking.

Be aware. In all your excitement you might end up making the fat ugly bird pregnant on your first day of "freedom"...

Considering you've been one of his biggest supporters I find your composure remarkable, Raf.

Especially since some others on here seem to have gone over the edge.

I hope his replacement does a good job, if it indeed is the end.

If in the very possible event he doesnt, I hope those same parties dont gloat.

(I dont mean you, of course)

We all want what we think is best for the club.

FWIW, I do think he did his best.

It couldn't possibly more remarkable than 7 one line paragraphs.

Im quite excited aswell and cant wait for us to get a new coach and flog lucas somewhere and hopefully play better football 🙂

I hope we still get to enjoy some big European nights. Rafa gave us loads.

ANyway, you only make posts concerning Rafa..so now that he's gone you're likely to fuck off and ride into the sunset.

So today hasnt been totally sad.

And, yes, I actually dont need a man since I'm married.

But I'll be sure to 'get a life', you sanctimonious devotee.

What on earth is there to be excited about?

We've lost more stability and continuity leaving us with none.

The essential problems with the club have not been addressed. New ownership, then if they want, a new manager. That's how this should have been done.

Now we are going to get some mid table manager, we've got a mid table budget, and unless we get new ownership, more likely than not, we'll end up...
