I'm not trying to be all all cheesy and positive and stuff. I'm under no illusions that there are still massive gaping issues, but:

Cole's recent goals (his movement for that goal again tonight was special and something we have missed, who else other than Suarez makes clever runs like that into the box??)
Lucas' return
Enrique's return (to the field and form)
Our central defenders - monsters
Johnson's form
Sterling's rise
Four off fourth
Knockouts in Europe
Suarez - he's ours
3 WINS IN A ROW - anyone know when last that happened?

Are all things to at least be slightly positive about.

Anymore?

And there's plenty of other things that should get better as the season goes on - our younger players, Borini, Gerrard etc

I like the positive attitude and I hope the squad has the same . Good win today and I could not see it from 2-1 down . Made up with that myself .

Yeah, I think he's close to being done unless he has a sit down and an honest assessment of what he can do these days.

Agreed. Retiring from England would be a good start, but that wont happen.

You're right about that. Will never happen. I think him getting the England captaincy was the worst thing that could've happened from our perspective. He's going to do everything he can to protect and prolong that captaincy. Especially given his age

I don't think he's in poor form, I just think he's protecting himself

It's a transitional year people. Keep your expectations low.

It's a smart strategy and it allows me to enjoy games, like today, where we don't deserve anything and win, or games we deserve 3 points and get a draw, or worse, a loss. But something very positive is happening with the club ... and hopefully, the Owners will take the necessary steps to ensure we can see this project lift off ...

I thought we deserved to win, just because they ruffled our feathers doesn't mean otherwise.

A Hammers fan I know who was at the game said we deserved to win, but also said it' s the worst Liverpool team he's seen, so..

NO!!! I won't have that!! There was a Souness team...1994...Horrible!

It's a funny one, its a very Jekyll and Hyde side. For large lumps of the season we have looked a disparate mess, held together by Suarez, on the other we have played delightful football , as good as I have seen in flashes, and been desperately unlucky in many matches.
I firmly believe despite the transitional nature of many things that we are in a position where if we made the right signings in January, and were not on the wrong side of so many piss-poor refereeing decisions we could see a lot more Hyde than Jekyll.

regards

It's an interesting analogy. Do we aspire to be doomed brutal bastards like Hyde or doomed well-meaning nutters like Jekyll?😉

Re. Gerrard and England. He's neck and neck with Ashley goal in the race to top Beckham's 115. He won't be giving up before Cole.

He still sounds like he smokes about 90 a day. But he's clearly responded to Rodgers' shrewd tactics and that's encouraging.

I am well up for a bit of happiness. I have been a proper pessimistic bastard this season. If we can put a run together in the next few games, and sign a couple (hopefully) in Jan then why not maybe have a bit of hope!

Sorry I am the half empty guy. How far are we from relegation?

Having said that, my no expectations does help my ticker rest a bit easier for every game we play.
