It's worth watching just to remind yourself that despite the disappointing results of the season, there were some really cracking games and goals too. I love Lallana's winner against Norwich, Coutinho had several great strikes (many of them game-winners too), Firmino and Origi and even Benteke all contributed in different parts of the season. Since I love team goals, here are the top 5 in my opinion:
5. [2:27] Clyne vs Bournemouth (home) – Origi drives the ball down the wing, cuts back to Firmino who finds Teixeira with a lovely pass, Teixeira conjures a back-heels into the goal, defender clears off the line but Clyne is there from the left flank to tap in. A real team goal.
4. [4:30] Firmino vs Man City (away) – Can's back heel and Coutinho's unselfish pass for a tap-in. Great stuff.
3. [10:38] Firmino vs Norwich (away) – a perfect counter-attack at full speed, Firmino to Milner to Lallana to Firmino. Important goal too as were two goals down at some point in that game.
2. [5:50] Sturridge vs Southampton (Carling Cup) – Origi wins the header, Lallana controls the ball and leaves it to Can who loses the defender with one touch and sends a perfect outside-the-boot pass to Sturridge who finishes on the volley. Perfection.
1. [17:11] Origi vs Borussia Dortmund (home) – we were in a desperate situation and it seemed like in this moment our players let their instincts and the flow of the game guide their decisions and this resulted in the most beautiful team goal of the season. Emre Can once again was the chief orchestrator of the move, but every pass and run was perfect. Two other goals from that game can also be on the list (Coutinho and Lovren), but this one was the best.
