Man in disguise boards international flight as old man
A passenger in disguise as an old man boarded an international flight and disembarked at the other end as himself in what officials are deeming an 'unbelievable case of concealment'. ( 0 ) ...In a scenario not far removed from the kind depicted in Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible films, what appeared to be an elderly white fellow in a flat cap, brown cardigan and thin-rimmed glasses boarded a plane in Hong Kong and arrived in Canada as a young Asian man.
The imposter's suspiciously youthful hands were what caught the attention of airport staff as he boarded.

When the supposed elderly passenger failed to disembark at Canada's Vancouver airport, police made their move and the Hollywood-style plot was unveiled.
In what authorities have deemed an 'unbelievable case of concealment', it emerged that the man had donned a silicone face and neck mask before boarding the Air Canada flight then reverted to his own identity in the aircraft toilet in mid-air.

'Information was received from Air Canada Corporate Security regarding a possible imposter on a flight originating from Hong Kong,' read an intelligence alert from the Canada Border Services Agency.
'The passenger in question was observed at the beginning of the flight to be an elderly Caucasian male who appeared to have young-looking hands.
'During the flight the subject attended the washroom and emerged an Asian-looking male that appeared to be in his early 20s.'
The passenger, who can't be named because of Canadian privacy laws, was escorted off the plane by Border Services Officers upon landing. He then made a claim for refugee protection.
After initially maintaining that he was only in possession of the bag he was carrying when he was caught, the man yielded when the authorities presented him with two more bags - one of which had the peeled-off mask inside.

He agreed to put on his disguise again to be photographed - and even mimicked the movements of an elderly person for the officers.
Though more details have yet to emerge about how exactly the man pulled off his stunt, it's believed he swapped boarding passes with a US citizen born in 1955 and used an Aeroplan card - a credit card issued by Air Canada's frequent flyer programme which doesn't display one's birth date - for ID purposes.
The man is currently still in custody and officials in Hong Kong are aware of the incident.
