An Air France plane travelling from Brazil to Paris with 228 people on board on its way has not arrived in the French capital and has disappeared from radar screens, a spokeswoman for the Paris airports authority said today.
The flight left Rio de Janeiro at 7pm local time (2300 BST) yesterday. It was expected to arrived in Paris at 11.15am, a spokesman said.
Those on board are 216 passengers and 12 crew. Airport authorities have set up a crisis centre at Charles de Gaulle.
